She’s one of the world’s biggest stars and next month, Jennifer Lopez will be performing in South Africa for the very first time as she joins Robin Thicke as a performer at next month’s ANN7 South African of the Year awards scheduled to take place at the Ticketpro Dome on Friday November 25.

ANN7 Editor in chief, Moegsien Williams says “It is an honour to secure an international artist like Jennifer Lopez for the SATY awards. As a news channel, our hope is to always produce content of international quality. Hosting Jennifer Lopez, one of the greatest international acts in the world, proves how we have become a draw card as a country”.
According to organisers, the news broadcaster ANN7 plans to make this year’s SATY Awards bigger and better than the last two annual events. “The SATY’s are the epitome of what it means to be South African. This year the theme is ‘Reflection and Progression’ We take the time to remind people what it means to be South African – as the country commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Soweto uprising,” says ANN7 Editor-In-Chief Moegsien Williams.
Bonang Matheba returns as host alongside Jeannie D and Jonathan Boynton-Lee. “I am so excited to be returning to The South African of The Year Awards stage, one of my favourite stages in the world. The awards celebrate the best of South African talent and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of such an amazing Mzansi story.”
I am honestly so excited to see Jennifer Lopez live on South African soil. This is going to be an incredible show. Bring on November 25!
