It’s crazy to see just how much of a worldwide phenomenon the Smurfs are. Earlier this year, the highly-anticipated animated feature film ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ premiered and made a decent amount of money worldwide. Now, the gang are making their way to South Africa as they perform live at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace from the 13th to the 30th of July in The Smurfs Live On Stage: Smurfs Save Spring.

This means that your favourite Smurfs characters including Papa Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Brainy Smurf and the adorable Smurfette will set out on a mission to transform the Wintery breeze into a colourful Spring (the Smurfs’ favourite time of the year). The Smurfs are busy preparing for the much-anticipated annual Spring Parade but if Gargamel has his way, there won’t be a parade at all! While the Smurfs are singing and dancing with excitement, the wicked Gargamel comes up with a plan to trick Mother Nature and bring an end to the festivities.

The show is a magical adventure that will see the Smurfs battle Gargamel and save Mother Nature, showing the power of family and true team spirit. Fans alike can get ready to cheer the Smurfs as they come to life on the grand stage with life-size mushroom-shaped forest houses, vibrant backdrops and wonderful sing-along music.

The 90-minute performance is set to enthral every single child (and adult) who watches the show. With an awesome set, epic costumes and some awesome sing-a-long tracks, the show is a whole lot of fun.

Tickets available from R150 per person. Bookings available through Computicket or the Emperors Palace Box Office on 011 928 1297/1213 or visit www.emperorspalace.com. The show times are 10h00, 14h00 and 18h00. Emperors Palace is located at 64 Jones Road, Kempton Park.
