If you thought Justin Bieber was going to take things slow after cancelling the remainder of his Purpose World Tour – you’re wrong! The popstar has teamed up with BloodPop to release his new pop banger ‘Friends’. The track reunites Bieber with producer BloodPop and songwriters Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, the team that engineered his single Sorry (along with Skrillex) from his 2015 album Purpose.

The catchy pop track sees the crooner reaching out to an ex and asking if they can still be friends. The song is almost the polar opposite of Justin’s Ed Sheeran-penned smash ‘Love Yourself’ as the star shares heartbreak from another perspective.

The song joins an array of Justin Bieber tracks dominating the international charts at the moment. ‘Despacito’ is still the number one song around the world while Justin is also featured on David Guetta’s ‘2U’ and DJ Khaled’s ‘I’m The One’.
