Every year, millions of Starbucks fans around the world eagerly await the arrival of the limited edition Pumpkin Spice Latte. The drink is the brand’s autumn signature drink but, for us here in the southern hemisphere, it’s also been associated with Halloween! Now, the drink is making its triumphant return on the 7th of September at all Starbucks stores around the country.

For those who have heard all about the drink but don’t exactly know what’s in it, it’s a handcrafted espresso beverage infused with pumpkin spice, creamy steamed milk, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove. The beverage is finished with whipped cream and pumpkin spice topping. Sounds delicious, right? Starbucks also has an iced version and a Frappuccino of the delicious flavour as well.

This year, the PSL arrives just in time for Heritage Day and Starbucks will launch a limited time food menu that pays tribute to South Africa’s culinary history. The limited time food offer will consist of a Heritage Day Milk Tart, Bobotie Phyllo Roll with chutney and a Rooibos macaron. If you can’t find me, I’ll be at Starbucks…
