2017 has been good to Luis Fonsi. ‘Despacito’, his collaboration with Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber became one of the biggest singles of the year and now, he’s joined forces with pop sensation Demi Lovato on his follow-up single ‘Échame La Culpa’
Naturally, the pressure was on to release a single just as big as ‘Despacito’ so Luis Fonsi stuck with a formula that works. The song has a strong tropical feel blended with reggaetón and is another major party anthem from the star. Demi Lovato delivers a strong vocal performance as she sings in both Spanish and English – something which could see the track becoming a crossover hit.
“Recording with Demi was a wonderful experience and what thrilled me the most was her desire to sing in Spanish and how perfectionist she was with the pronunciation of the lyrics,” Luis admits. “Musically speaking, she is perfect, which made it the easiest vocal production I’ve ever done in my career.”
The duo also released the cinematic, sizzling, and sexy music video for the track today. The video was shot last month in Brooklyn by Elastic People’s Creative Director Carlos Perez and encompasses the vibe and feeling the track has. The track is a banger and it seems Luis Fonsi is ready for world domination yet again!
