Noah Cyrus is slowly and surely cementing her name as a pop star in her own right and not simply riding off sister Miley’s success thanks to a variety of collaborations – including ones with Marshmello, Alan Walker and Matoma. Now, her latest collaboration sees her team up with UK duo One Bit on a track titled ‘My Way’ – and it’s one of her best singles to date.
The song is an excellent pop track where Noah plays with her vocals in a way we haven’t experienced just yet. The track samples Mylo’s smash hit ‘Drop The Pressure’ and it’s blended within One Bit’s slick production in a clever and different way. Noah’s strong, husky voice is a perfect fit for the dance genre and her ability to adapt her vocal to various genres is impressive. Lyrically, the song is rather simple but sometimes simplicity is a recipe for success – especially in pop. The track has been paired up with a stunning visual which perfectly represents the song’s funky, playful sound.
One Bit reveal that they knew working with Noah would be the perfect fit for the song and were stoked when she agreed to lend her voice to the track. “We originally co-wrote ‘My Way’ to a completely different track with Katya Edwards — a great songwriter friend of ours. The vocal from that original version was a lot slower, so we sped it up and put it onto the early stages of what became ‘My Way.’ When it was all together in its current form we got in touch with Noah to see if she was up for featuring on it. Thankfully, she said yes,” the duo reveal. As Noah Cyrus continues to work on building her brand, she proves she’s both dynamic and incredibly talented and while the sonic direction of the star’s upcoming album ‘NC-17’ is still unknown, Noah has proven she can tackle ballads, pop bangers and a whole lot more.
