I am a big big big fan of Cadbury’s Crunchie. I have it often. I was incredibly excited when the brand launched an ice cream version of my favourite chocolate a few years ago and, in my mind, life was complete. But, little did I know they were working hard on developing a brand new limited edition chocolate bar which includes little bits of Crunchie in it. And not just Crunchie but 5Star, PS and Astros as well.

After teasing the chocolate bars on social media for a few weeks, they’re officially in store and Cadbury has brought back the Martians to help kick-off this exciting chocolate adventure.

To get your hands on these cute Martians, you will need to purchase any of the participating Cadbury slabs from 1 June to 31 August 2018 at retail stores countrywide. Choose from 80gm or 150gm Cadbury Dairy Milk slabs with on-pack promotional visuals OR any of the four new limited edition 150gm Cadbury slabs. Find a promotional sticker inside each pack. Then, collect four stickers and stick them on the promotional pamphlet found on the branded displays in participating stores. Finally, redeem a Martian figurine at any participating petrol station store using your completed pamphlet.

What’s more, from 15 June the new Martians will come to life on mobile phones through an exciting augmented reality (AR) experience. Simply grab one, two or even all four of the new slabs, download the free app, scan the wrapper and be amazed as the Martians come to life, showing off their moves and even interacting with each other.

During July and August, consumers in Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town, will get the chance to face off against the Martians in the ultimate dance battle at the Cadbury Martians Dance-Galactic activations. To participate bring any Cadbury slab to the activation for entry. Get all the moves right and you might even see your name climb up the leaderboard to be crowned the top scorer of the day and win an awesome Cadbury Martian hamper.

The Cadbury Martian Dance-Dance-Galactic activations will take place in Durban at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping from 10 – 15 July 2018. In Johannesburg, the activation will take place at The Zone, Rosebank Mall from 23 – 29 July 2018 before moving to Pretoria at Menlyn Shopping Centre between 31 July – 5 August 2018. The campaign ends off in Cape Town’s Canal Walk between 8 – 12 August.
