“Currently I’m at a place where I’m the most comfortable I’ve ever been in the industry. And I’m finally at a place where I feel I can express myself, so I’m hella excited about the future and what it holds for me,” the rapper tells us about the new signing. “‘Me & Mines’ is about to bless the nation with some variety. And signing a licensing deal with Warner allows me to make these ideas I got a reality. Above all else, I’m most looking forward to meeting my daughter for the first time and seeing the world react to the type of music I love making.”
Naturally, Warner Music South Africa is excited about the star jumping on board. “We are thrilled that Bigstar Johnson has chosen Warner Music South Africa as his home. He is such a talented artist and an even better human being. The album is spectacular, we can’t wait for the world to hear it,” says Tracy Fraser, MD of Warner Music South Africa.
