Danny K is back! After joining forces with Busiswa for the gqom-inspired single ‘Starz’ earlier this year, South Africa’s pop prince is back with another new track titled ‘Things We Do’. The singer premiered earlier this month and as it continues to gain momentum on radio stations across the country, the star has shot a music video for the track – and we’ve got the first look!

Danny opted for a splash of colour as he goes for a neon-inspired look for the upcoming music video which features some incredible cars and drop-dead gorgeous models.

“‘Things We Do’ is a song about the universal truth that we will spend money on things we love and people we love and in this modern, materialistic world that we find ourselves in – and it’s something I don’t think it has ever been more apparent. This should not always be seen as something negative and I guess it is about finding that healthy balance. That balance is where the lyrical content for the song was inspired,” Danny tells us.

The pop track sees the star blends his signature R&B delivery with subtle elements of electronic and tropical house beats – an area he’s really excited to dabble in sonically right now. “I have never been able to effectively stick to one sound or genre over the course of my career,” Danny tells us. “I was always interested in exploring a wide variety of musical influencers while in studio. This enhanced my desire to collaborate with many of the country’s top artists and to push myself creatively. I hope that approach gives my music a freshness and a constant evolving sound.”
