American rapper Post Malone is one of the biggest players in the international hip-hop space today. The star is currently in South Africa where he headlined the annual Castle Lite Unlocked festival last night which saw him perform to over 15 000 attendees in Johannesburg. But, before the star got on stage, his record label, Universal Music, awarded him a plaque which celebrates some of his incredible milestones over the past few months.

The plaque celebrates Post Malone’s incredible impact on South African soil. The star was celebrated for reaching over 100 million streams in South Africa alone, achieving platinum status for his second studio album ‘Beerpongs and Bentleys’ and achieving double platinum status for his smash hit singles ‘Wow’ and ‘Sunflower’ – a duet with Swae Lee.

Post Malone wowed local fans with an exceptional performance at the Castle Lite Unlocked festival last night. Thousands of people around the country have identified with the star for his unique approach to hip-hop and we have a feeling this is only the beginning for this musical powerhouse.
