It’s been over two years since Jesse Clegg has released his latest single ‘I’ll Follow You’ with Kentphonic and now, after months of writing and producing in the studio, the singer has dropped some new music. The star pushes boundaries as he steps away from the acoustic rock sound we’ve grown accustomed to hear from him and has delivered an edgy pop track which shows off his incredible vocals.
is a product of his time spent in Los Angeles writing and recording music with different musicians and producers. He worked with multi-platinum producers, Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees, Walk the Moon, Blink 182) and Chris Whitehall (The Griswolds, Carly Rae Jepsen), and the result of working with such formidable producers is evident in the quality of the new song.
As for the lyrical content of the song, Jesse has opened up about the importance of embracing that which you fear. “In the context of a relationship, there are always these moments when you have to make yourself vulnerable to the other person and let them into your life, and we all have fears of being hurt or disappointed. Ultimately, it’s about that moment of conquering your doubts and embracing an experience or a relationship wholeheartedly,” he tells us.
The song also sees the star grow creatively as he steps into a new sonic direction. “As a songwriter, I enjoy the challenge of experimenting with my sound. The vibe of this song was exciting to me because it combines my writing style with a really bold and unpredictable production,” he continues.
‘Let It Burn’ drops everywhere today.
