Local pop-star, Connell Cruise, is getting ready for a brand-new era in his career and as he gets to work on his upcoming studio album, the star has confirmed that he has renewed his recording contract with David Gresham Records.
Connell is busy working on some brand-new music for a new album, which is expected to be released this summer, and he’s thrilled on returning to the label that catapulted him into superstardom. “The synergy between the team at David Gresham Records and myself have always made magic for me,” says Cruise. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen a side of this industry that not many get to see. I’ve toured the world and I’ve been lucky enough to create music with industry heavyweights from around the globe. What I’ve come to realise, especially in the past year, is that there is nothing more important than the people you surround yourself with. I want to keep releasing great music and I couldn’t think of a better team to do that with than Andrew and the folks at DGR.”
Naturally, the label is ecstatic that the star has returned to their stable. Andrew Mitchley, C.O.O, and Head of A&R commented, “David Gresham Records is thrilled to have Connell back in the studio. We have enjoyed some incredible success together, and after hearing Connell’s new music, we are more excited than ever to be working with this great talent.”
Over the past year, international audiences have been introduced to Cruise’s music through major synchronisation placements — “Into the Wild” in LAIKA studio’s official trailer for their animated feature film, Missing Link, which starred Hollywood greats Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, and Zach Galifianakis, and “Endless Possibilities” in Pepsi Co.’s television commercial for Quaker Oats, which was broadcast across North America.
The singer has also spent much of the past year focusing on his family. He and his wife, Sarah, welcomed their first child in December 2018.
We’re so excited to see what Connell has been cooking up in the studio.
