Over the past two years we’ve seen Andrew Sutton grow into a pop star with immense potential to make it big. His previous singles ‘One More Chance’ and ‘Stargazing’ showed off his talents beautifully and on his new single ‘Hands Up’, the star experiments with a different sonic approach to prove he’s more than just a one-trick-pony.
The song, which was written two months ago by Andrew alongside former Gangs of Ballet member Brad Klynsmith, was inspired by kids who were singing and dancing to his cover of ‘Old Town Road’ during a recent school tour. Andrew wanted to create a song which had a similar vibe and energy level to it and ‘Hands Up’ was born.
Recorded in his new home studio, the single was produced by Hendrik Joerges who also assisted Andrew with the recording process. “‘Hands Up’ is very positive and uplifting. It encourages people to believe in themselves and their dreams,” Andrew tells us of his new single adding that the experience writing and recording the song was unlike anything he experienced before. “I really had such an amazing time working on this single. I think I was more involved in this song than my previous singles, so ‘Hands Up’ will give fans the chance to get to know me and my music in a new way.”
