Last year, Locnville’s Brian Chaplin said ‘I Do’ and he and wife Simone had the wedding of their dreams. Since then, Brian has been busy working on his group’s upcoming EP ‘Tribes & Angels’ which releases on 24 January, while touring the country during the holiday season. Now, the singer has announced a major life moment – he’s going to become a father.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Brian announced the news saying he’s ecstatic and can’t wait to embark on this new chapter with his wife. “I can’t even express the amount of joy I feel in announcing that @simonedawndk and I are expecting a baby boy in May 2020!”. He adds that “I’ve had time to enjoy this moment privately with friends and family and now I want to share it with the world!”

Naturally, the singer also shared some heartfelt words to his wife saying “Simone, I couldn’t picture taking this next step in life with anyone else in the world, I love you more than you’ll ever know.”

While preparing for the baby, Brian has been hard at work releasing new music. As he prepares for the new Locnville EP to premiere later this month, the duo has just released the project’s title track which features Swaziland’s Muzi Mnisi. “Tribes & Angels is our first release in a while and a lead up to our next full-length LP to mark our first decade in the industry which is a huge milestone,” Andrew Chaplin tells us. “It’s got a beautiful mix of flavours and a great story behind the title track Tribes & Angels. Pop this on for your next road trip, and I guarantee you’ll be spinning it more than once”.

We’re thrilled for Brian and Simone and we wish them only the best on this exciting new journey.
