It’s a big day for Mi Casa! The local trio are known for blending house music with a proudly South African flair and as they continue to promote their new single ‘Church Bells’, the lead single off their upcoming studio album ‘We Made It’, the group has announced a new global partnership with Afroforce1 Records, a division of Universal Music Group Africa.

The deal could not have come at a more perfect time for the group. They have already amassed an international following with sold-out concerts in Europe, Canada, and 23 African countries and their unflappable worth ethic has seen them maintain their status as one of SA’s most relentless, determined and ambitious touring and recording acts.

This year Mi Casa turns 10 years old and celebrate this milestone with the brand new album and this exciting new partnership.

The group’s lead singer, J’Something, is over the moon about the Afroforce1 deal. “Finally the moment we been working so hard for. To sign a global deal with the biggest label in the world is something we dared to dream and now here it is – the fruits of 10 years hard work and great memories around some pretty damn cool songs,” he says. “We believe this is the most crucial moment of our career and we can’t wait to now elevate things onto a whole new level”, he states.

He continues to give props to those around him for their success and spread gratitude. “The work now begins and the team we have now looking after Mi Casa is unreal … thank you to Universal for believing in us, the team at Afroforce1 in a Germany and all the people involved in making this a reality. To our fans … wow guys … to the ones who been there since ‘These Streets’ and to the ones that just joined the family, it’s because of your love and continuous support that we are able to achieve a milestone such as this. Lastly to our family … we hope to make you proud in this next chapter we about to embark on”.

With the Covid-19 Corona virus affecting negatively musicians’ revenue streams and performances around the world, Mi Casa has too felt the effect. Releasing an album during such an uncertain time was “daunting, to say the least”, but the world needs art and the guys have laid themselves bare with ‘We Made It’, spreading joy when we need it most.
