We’re still not over our break-up with Tempo and now, there’s another fan-favourite chocolate bar that will be off shelves soon as Nestlé confirms that they will be discontinuing the Chocolate Log next month.

In a statement, the food and beverage giant says that the bar “has been a loved brand for over 50 years and we thank our loyal consumers for their support over these years. We equally understand that its discontinuation may somehow disappoint some of our loyal consumers.”

The Chocolate Log, which is described as “creamy marshmallow on crisp wafer covered in milk chocolate” has many reminiscing about their childhood but lack of sales has caused Nestle to make a drastic choice when deciding on their business offering going forward adding that innovation is something that is incredibly important to them.

“As Nestlé, our purpose is to delight our consumers through tastier and healthier products. We know that one of the main drivers of the chocolate category is innovation and that consumers love new products,” said Nestlé. “Taking this into consideration, we do discontinue certain products and introduce new ones to the market.”

The brand did share some good news, however, adding that they will be “bringing a variety of delicious chocolates in the coming months and we urge our consumers to be on the lookout!”
